Our Troop
Troop 118 is chartered to St. Stephen United Methodist Church on Sardis Road in Charlotte, N.C. Our motto is "One Pace at a Time" referring to the steady progress our boys make toward the rank of Eagle.
Our Mission Statement
Troop 118 emphasizes to each boy to serve others by teaching
values that can be found in the Scout Oath and Law. Our troop helps
each scout to make correct ethical choices in their lifetime so they
can achieve their full potential. Troop 118 helps to develop young
leaders, and instill in them the values of community service,
respect for the outdoors, and personal spirituality.
We are committed to adventure, learning, challenge and fun. We
encourage all scouts to respect each other and seek responsibility
and be disciplined both within the troop and in their everyday
lives. We incorporate fun, advancement and recognition, and youth
leadership opportunities at our meetings, camping trips and service
projects. We support each scout as they take it One Pace at a Time
to advance in rank and strive to reach one of scouting greatest
honors-the rank of Eagle.
